This weekend’s wedding was an absolute meadow of daisies in the beautiful South Downs. The bride and groom were lovely, tears were shed and all was good.
As The Apprentices attempted to run a Farm Shop on iPlayer, 20 hessian bows went onto Kilner jars with Aster, Marguerites, teeny little daisy Chrysanths (Why don’t people like them? They are awesome, last forever and they smell like a proper flower shop…), Love-in-a-Mist, Astilbe and Cow Parsley robbed from roadsides at 5am.
The lovely couple took most of the flowers home and the rest went to cheer up happy homes – waste not, want not (of which, more later). And any snack trays today have a lovely little posy.
Driving, snipping, making, making, making, driving, carrying, tweaking, watering, clearing, sorting, washing up.
