The December Project

There’s nothing like a frosty morning seen through a six year old’s eyes on the walk to school to get the inspiration going. Then this popped up via two of my favourites Lotte & Bloom and Floret. A photo a day for the first 25 days of December. I’m on it!       Continue reading The December Project

Made with love…and thistles

I loved the beautiful palate for the arrangements at Rob & John’s black and white themed wedding. The brief was “drama, thistles, black seaweed, no flowers”. I saw it as Timorous Beasties meets Tom Ford in Dungeoness, snuck in a few orchids and got busy! Rob and John moodboard We used beautiful salvaged river wood for … Continue reading Made with love…and thistles

Continuing the autumnal explosion

This lovely fat arrangement was a thank you for a super fun Halloween party. Thanks, Penny! The pink ‘All For Love’ roses from Quince were *huge* and I’m always a sucker for a big old Chrysanthemum. They just smell so like proper flower shops… The berried ivy is, as ever, like lovely little fireworks. In … Continue reading Continuing the autumnal explosion

Like so many of us in the #weddingindustry it’s been quiet on the events front. I’m looking forward to some beautiful weddings this summer but in the meantime come say hello to my new baby!✨ 🚐 🤍✨ @honeybank_the_camper is a gorgeous vintage 1990s #autosleeper motorhome. I’ll be remodelling the interior and, eventually / if I can bear to, renting her out for super stylish #staycations ✨

Watching ✨ @bbcstrictly✨ and putting in an elf shift for @worthingfoodfoundation who are part of Santa’s team this year.... delivering Xmas stockings, hampers, supermarket vouchers, school holiday lunches *on top* of the normal food deliveries over the festive period. Please consider making a cash donation to support their amazing work - it’s making a serious difference for families facing hardship this Christmas ❤️ links in @worthingfoodfoundation bio / on FB page 🎄✨
A riot of colour at @theivywinchester (ah, parties in restaurants!! I’ve missed you 😢) Spot the darkest dark dahlia... ✨
I’m loving the antiracist work over at @decolonisethegarden ... calling out how whiteness is *completely* centred in the gardening industry (the wedding industry... the western world...) I’ve learned a lot from their account and love this brilliant opportunity for a gardener of colour. Follow, share etc! 💚 I’ve always found the flower community to be brilliantly supportive and a real sisterhood but as (mainly) white women we need to look at our role in maintaining...or better yet SMASHING UP...systems of oppression 💥 🌺
This gorgeous Sussex photographer @libbycphoto is raising money for @worthingfoodfoundation in the most creative and generous way... ✨She is taking bookings for doorstep portraits and donating *all the proceeds* to this amazing cause. AND she’s donating her time to take photos for the website. What a star ⭐️ 🥰and will you look at those photos!!? I know who I’d be calling if I was getting married... #volunteer #community #endfoodpoverty #weddingphotographer #sussexweddingphotographer #worthing #brighton #sussexlife #sussexbusiness
Throwback to when we could do events. And travel to London!!
