The world’s most beautiful dress inspired the Vivienne Westwood-meets-Frida Kahlo look for this brilliant, happy wedding. And what a fabulous couple they are. Congratulations, you two lovelies.
The day before, it looked like this:
We picked up the leading lady flowers from beautiful Quince in Brighton and it got busy! With a little help,
there appeared six little arrangements for the tables, all different but all wiggling with ivy, wild carrot, spray roses, Diana dahlias (hilariously, named for the other Queen of our Hearts….), astrantia, nigella seed heads and a ton of other foliage from the wilds of West Sussex and the pots on my terrace.
As the Olympics Opening Ceremony drew to a close late that night, they were joined by a beauty for the buffet table:
….and this whopper for the bar, with miles of trailing wild clematis brazenly untangled from the railway bridge:
…and all transported to the venue in style (*ahem*).
Along with a whole load of buttonholes and a rather lovely bouquet, mainly sedum and spray roses. It was a really happy day, for me, and most of all for the lovely Theresa and Brian.
